Current and Past Projects

This is a list of current and previous research teams and projects in which I have been heavily involved. Click on the project name to explore the project-specific websites in greater detail and find lists of publications, software details, and work from my collaborators.

As a part of the Institute, I design AI-driven chatbots and narratives to help students learn about pollination and food systems, conduct focus groups with students and teachers about the role of AI in their classrooms, and communicate our research about AI in Education with the broader public.

The STEP team designs immersive, mixed-reality embodied activities, which allows students to engage in collaborative scientific inquiry through playful collective movement using motion-tracking technology. I was particularly interested in understanding how using the body as a tool for learning impacted young students' emotional and social engagement with learning.

As a part of the RepTaL team, I explored how teacher professional development spaces can foster social and emotional engagement for teachers by making space for vulnerability, reflection on missteps, and shared celebration of teaching successes.

In addition to my academic research, I am the co-founder and Chief Content Officer for LearnabilityHQ, a website for educators where we curate open-access, high-quality curricular, technological, and informational resources to help share knowledge from the academy with a broader audience of educators.
